When working toward your fitness goals, many people rely on their home weight scale to track progress. While these scales can provide basic estimates of body weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass, and water levels, the numbers are often influenced by factors like hydration, meal timing, or scale accuracy.
If you’re looking for a more precise and reliable way to understand what’s happening inside your body, the Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SRWC) offers InBody Assessments for members.
InBody is a body composition scanner to measure your fat, muscle, and total body water. It will scan in few minutes to understand how your fat or muscles are distributed in your body. After the assessment, you’ll receive 19 different statistics about your body compositions, so it will help you to achieve your fitness goals. We recommend that you do not move or speak during the measurement.
If you are interested, you can make an appointment with our personal trainers to analyze your results and help you strategize to achieve your goals. The assessment is $20 for students and $25 for non-student members. In order to make an appointment, go to the SRWC GO app, select “instructional classes,” apply “fitness,” and you’ll be able to select InBody Assessment. After you register, come to the fitness front desk at the SRWC or call (562) 985-0745 to schedule your test. Start your fitness journey today!
